Anxiety and Stress can impact quality of life. Reframing situations with another, outside perspective can help. Old warn in thought patterns, like old country trails, seem to get harder and harder to get away from, leading to a feeling of helplessness and exhaustion.
Stress, or the fight or flight response, has a functional purpose in some cases. However, when a person is living in a constant state between heightened alert and full blown panic, physical, emotional, and rational capacities are compromised. This stress and anxiety seriously compromise quality of life over time.
I work with my clients with a series of exercises to insight, rational emotive therapy, and a host of relaxation techniques to find a way to cope wonderfully.
